Jim Harbaugh had a second interview with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday, and it seemed like momentum was building toward the two sides reaching a deal. At least one other team might be given an opportunity to make their pitch first, however.
Harbaugh was scheduled to meet with the Atlanta Falcons for a second time on Wednesday, according to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report. That meeting has been moved to another day, however.
Jim Harbaugh will not be having a second interview in Atlanta with the #Falcons today, as was previously scheduled, source says (as @JoshTheAthletic noted).
“It’s being moved for now,” I’m told. @BleacherReport https://t.co/2rlEjXSrpn

One prominent NFL reporter said on Tuesday that he believed Harbaugh and the Chargers had reached the point in their discussions where there could be an agreement in the near future. That is one reason it will be interesting see if Harbaugh actually takes the second interview with Atlanta.
There has been some talk about Harbaugh using interest from NFL teams as leverage in his contract negotiations with Michigan. That seems unlikely at this point, especially since this is now the third consecutive offseason in which he has met with NFL teams.
The Falcons have interviewed numerous candidates and met twice with one other high-profile coach. If Harbaugh ends up with competing offers from both Atlanta and the Chargers, you have to think the latter would be more appealing.
