The Baltimore Ravens have signed a notable player off of the New England Patriots’ practice squad.
Rookie quarterback Malik Cunningham told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday that the Ravens have signed him.
A Louisville reunion in Baltimore: the Ravens are signing QB Malik Cunningham off the Patriots’ practice squad and on to their roster, Cunningham told ESPN today. Cunningham now will finish the season in Baltimore and go to the playoffs.

Cunningham signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville this year. He and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson were teammates with the Cardinals for a season in 2017.
Many Patriots fans felt Cunningham should have been given a shot to start when Mac Jones was struggling, but the quarterback spent most of his time on the practice squad. After Cunnningham signed with the Ravens, Patriots offensive lineman Trent Brown seemed to take a shot at head coach Bill Belichick for not utilizing the quarterback.

“Go flourish where your talent is respected lil bradda,” Brown wrote on his Instagram story.
Cunningham appeared in just one game with New England. He is unlikely to play much in Baltimore unless the 10-3 Ravens are hit hard by the injury bug.
