The Seminoles are 13-0 this season and were left out of the College Football Playoff. Jordan Travis, himself a transfer, led the team to the undefeated season before suffering a serious leg injury that ended his Seminoles career.
Junior Tate Rodemaker has backed up Travis and took over after the latter got hurt. Rodemaker still has eligibility left, but it seems like the Seminoles are looking for an upgrade.
With Uiagalelei, they would be getting a quarterback who has plenty of experience. Uiagalelei spent this season at Oregon State after being with Clemson for three years. Uiagalelei passed for 2,638 yards with 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season. He also rushed for 6 touchdowns for the Beavers, who followed up a 10-3 season in 2022 by going 8-4 this year.
