Jaylen Waddle is in concussion protocol after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit on Sunday.
Waddle had 4 catches for 86 yards in his Miami Dolphins’ 24-17 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday night. Late in the game, he went up to try to make a catch and was hit in the back of the head as he was landing.

Here is another angle:
How does Mike Tirico, a 40-year veteran of sports broadcasting, call this "obviously helmet-to-helmet"? The defender's helmet comes nowhere near Jaylen Waddle. His arm made contact, and not enough to warrant a flag. Classic example of judging an apparent result, not the action pic.twitter.com/V3eG16TYjt

Tua Tagovailoa had said after the game that Waddle was in good spirits despite the hit.

However, on Monday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that Waddle was in concussion protocol. At this point, it’s unclear whether Waddle will be available for the team’s Week 3 game at home against the Denver Broncos.
Waddle has 11 catches for 164 yards this season. He and Tyreek Hill form one of the most dynamic receiving duos in the NFL.
