The Minnesota Vikings are hoping they can revive the career of another former first-round pick.
The Vikings have signed N’Keal Harry to a one-year deal, according to the NFL transaction wire.
Harry was the No. 32 overall pick by the New England Patriots in 2019. The Arizona State product’s best season came in 20220 when he had 33 catches for 309 yards and 2 touchdowns. He spent last season with the Chicago Bears and had 7 catches for 116 yards in 8 games. Now he’ll be headed to play for another team in the NFC North.
This is the second consecutive year the Vikings have added a former first-round pick wide receiver.
Last year, the Vikings added Jalen Reagor, who was a bust with Philly. Reagor was selected by the Eagles No. 21 overall in 2020, one pick before Minnesota drafted Justin Jefferson. Reagor had 8 catches for 104 yards last season — similar numbers to what Harry put up with the Bears.
Minnesota’s wide receiver group will likely feature Jefferson, K.J. Osborn and rookie Jordan Addison. Their other receivers will likely be fighting for a role in the offense.
